My father stared at me for a moment, I know that he seems so shocked, but the truth had to be out which I know that deep down I just lie to my father.
I will have told him the truth, but he might spill it out to his wife, I have to keep it to myself, for now, until when everything is calm, I will let them know.
“So where's the mother; your wife?” He inquired.
“That's the problem dad, you see that her father is a retired solider and then the child is with them until I did the rightful.” I said, I don't know how those words just comes out through my mouth but no doubt I love it.

“Then you need to do it, what is delaying?” He asked. “Dad I would rather not rush things, when time is due, I'm going to take my child from them.” I said and smiled.
“What's the child's gender?” Dad asked as I scratched my head. “I feel so embarrassed to say these, but I don't really know dad; they took my baby away from me.” I said and then fake some tears which dropped out from my eyes.
Dad saw it and took pity on me. “I understand how you feel, young man; you got to know that real men don't cry.” He said as stood up to cleaned my eyes.
“You have to let your mother knows about it, that she has a grandchild already and invite your wife here, maybe next time you're visiting.” Dad said, which I nodded my head.
I really need an award for the best liar ever. I have to excuse my father so that I need to relax, it has been a long day. Likewise, I went to my room as I open the door. I always lock my room when I travel. The room is a mess-up as I quickly tidy up.
I just laid down to sleep, I'm damn tired. I smiled when I remember those lies I cook. My mother will leave with no choice than to believe. Kara wouldn't like to share her man with anyone.
So I'm safe from both parties. I was about to close my eyes when I heard some voice which I know that will definitely be my mother.
“I carry you in my womb for 8 months, but this is how he want to treat me, eh Emeka, I didn't kill my parents so don't kill me too. A mother knows what is good for her child. Come down now or this house won't contain the both of us.”
Getting married to Kara, who wouldn't give me peace of mind. I thought coming here will makes me feel like I really miss home but nor, mom here is pressuring me to intimate with Kara.

“Mom, it's okay, I accepted! I said. “Really, or you are joking right now?” She inquired and quickly smiles. “You know me very well, mother, but I have to tell you something first.” I told her which she uttered me to set down on the couch with her.
I carry the plate of fried chops on the table as I carry it and sat down with her. “So, what do you want to tell me?” She questioned as I scratched my head, glancing at her.
I don't feel like saying anything. I was wrestling with my mind. “I thought that you wanted to tell me something?” Mom's words jotted me out.
“Mom do you just say that you need a grand child?” “Yeah of course!” she replied and looking at me which I have to drop the boom shell. “I have one for you, hmmm, you see that I didn't want to disclose anything but still, you guys are oppressing me then I think I don't have any other choice than to tell you.” I repeat the same lies to my mother.
“What?” Kara shouted as I picked up some chop and eat. ‘Who is this oneself?’ Mom was speechless when I show her the picture in my phone and still repeat the same lies to her.
“Then why you didn't tell us? So Uchechukwu knows and didn't care to tell me, eh?” She said and frowned immediately. “No, mom, I told him in his study's room. I replied.
Mom stood up and dance round, while Kara was just wondering, I smile glancing at her while she was so angry. “What is happening here, mother?” She queried while my mother stopped dancing and then reply her.
“Don't worry Kara dear, I will discuss with your mother, it seems like I'll be seeing my grandchild soon; I want a perfect family for my son who means, I don't think of accepting any mistress.
“What?” Kara yelled and then stormed to her feet before walking away. The door open as Chidi walk out from his room toward the table. “Where are my chops?” He asked as I hide it under the couch. Mom frowned at me immediately and reach her hand and wanted to remove it while I struggled with her.
“Who is that idiot that is fighting my precious wife?” Dad shuddered as I stopped instantly. Mom hit my hand as I free the plate and maintain while he handed it over to Chidi.
I watch as dad move towards his wife and kiss her. “Pervert!” Chidi yelled before running back to his room. Chioma who was coming down from the stair with her laptop. “Oh….dad, mom my virgin eyes.” She said and had to return to her room.
“Dad, you know that you two are suffocating me here?” I asked. “Of course, I'm in my husband's house.” Mom replied as they continue their kissing. “And if you don't love what you are seeing; go and get yours or else I'll force spanking you!” Dad concluded as I snarled before returning to my room.
That's not my problem, the main thing is Kara is out of my side. I don't have to see her ugliest around here.
